# What is Stocksy Back in Stock?

> Stocksy is a Shopify app that captures back-in-stock, price-drop, and coming-soon subscribers, then notifies them by email when products are available again.

Stocksy: Back in Stock helps you recover lost sales when products sell out. Shoppers subscribe from your storefront, and Stocksy emails them when items are back in stock, drop in price, or become available as coming soon.

## How it works

1. A customer tries to buy a product that is out of stock (or wants a price-drop / coming-soon alert).
2. They enter their email in the Stocksy widget on your storefront.
3. Stocksy tracks that subscriber against the product or variant.
4. When stock returns (or the alert condition is met), Stocksy sends a notification email.
5. The customer returns to your store to complete the purchase.

You manage everything from the Stocksy app inside your Shopify admin — no coding required.
