Follow these steps to get Stocksy live on your store. The same checklist appears in the app Setup Guide on your Home dashboard.
Step 1 — Install the app
Install Stocksy: Back in Stock from the Shopify App Store. After install, open the app from Apps > Stocksy: Back in stock in your Shopify admin.
Step 2 — Enable App Embed
The storefront widget requires a one-time theme activation.
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
- Click Customize on your active theme.
- Open App embeds (puzzle-piece icon).
- Find Stocksy and toggle it on.
- Click Save.
When this works, the Home dashboard shows: Stocksy App Embed is active.
If App Embed is off, customers cannot subscribe from your storefront — even if widgets and emails are configured.
Open Widgets (or Customize Widgets from Quick Actions) and set up your Back in stock button and form. See Widgets and Back in stock widget.
Step 4 — Customize email
Open Notifications > Email Notifications > Customize and update templates for Back in stock, Price drop alert, and Coming soon. See Email notifications.
Step 5 — Receive your first subscriber
Visit a product page where the Stocksy widget is shown and submit a test subscription with your email. Confirm the subscriber appears on the dashboard under Recent Subscribers.
Step 6 — Send your first notification
Restock the product (or trigger the alert condition) so Stocksy can send the notification. Confirm the email is delivered and that Notifications Sent increases on the dashboard.
You’re done
When all five Setup Guide steps are complete, the guide shows a Done badge. You can dismiss or collapse it anytime.
Next, explore the Dashboard to understand metrics, charts, top products, and plan usage.
